because whiskey and a cigarette is broken

I was going to break a totally unplanned three month period of silence on my sadly underused whiskey and a cigarette rambles blog (hhhhey…jealous gods blog is sadly underused, as well. or maybe happily. who knows), but there apparently is some kind of problem meriting a return of a “500 server error” page – I was given the following cryptic advice:

“A misconfiguration on the server caused a hiccup. Check the server logs, fix the problem, then try again.”

I do not know how to check the server logs, because I do not know what the server logs are, or where they reside. Even if I knew what the server logs were, or where they resided, I wouldn’t recognize a misconfiguration in the logs. I imagine that I probably can’t tell a configuration from a misconfiguration.

I do not know what to do about “the problem,” as the error page so deceptively simply put it.

Crap. And I really did intend to blog on my neglected WAAC rambles.
